Biography: Marian Turkel is a nurse scholar associated with the development and application of caring science, particularly through her longstanding professional relationship with Jean Watson. Her engagement with caring science began during her graduate studies in nursing administration at Florida Atlantic University in the late 1980s. She has remained active in the caring science community through participation in the International Association for Human Caring and work with healthcare organizations implementing theory-guided practice models.
